Community Invitation to Walk for Hope and Get in On the Fun!
Community Invitation to Walk for Hope and Get in On the Fun!

On May 27, Hope Hall’s students, staff and faculty will take part in our annual Walk for Hope.

Now you can form your own walk or fundraising page to support our kids!

NEW this year, there’s a great way for members of the community to also take part in the Walk. Community Walk participants can walk at a time and place of their choosing, anytime during the month of May, either on their own or with a team!

Why Hope Hall’s Walk for Hope Is So Important

Did you know that Hope Hall receives no funding from New York State or local school districts, and that 85% of our students live at or below the poverty level? That means that students, staff, faculty and community participation is critical in helping to raise the funds needed to provide students with learning challenges the education they need and deserve.

We do not charge our students full price to attend Hope Hall in order to make the school accessible to all students who need our services, no matter their socio-economic background. Because so many of our fundraising efforts had to be cancelled during 2020, including last year’s Walk for Hope, the need is greater than ever, and your help is critical.

Here’s How You Can Participate

This year, in addition to having our students, faculty, staff and board members participate in the Walk for Hope, we’re inviting members of the community to get in on the fun and exercise, either as individuals or as a teams, during the month of May, by committing to Walk for Hope.

If you would like to help our students, there are a number of ways to do so:

  • Make a gift on behalf of a student who will be participating in the school’s Walk for Hope. Many of our students are unable to raise the funds on their own. Your donation will be used to help sponsor a child and enable them to earn prizes.
  • Donate gift cards or in-kind gift items, to be used as prizes for the kids, aged 8 and up, as well as for faculty and staff participating in the walk. Favorites include: Amazon gift cards, amusement park or local museum passes, gift cards to local ice cream parlors or kid-oriented restaurants, headphones, cell phone cases, zoo passes and more! Don’t hesitate to be creative! You can download the form below to let us know how you’d like to participate.
  • Create a team, join a team or create an individual page, using this link: Once the page is created, you can promote it on social media or email it to friends and family. Use this link to:
    • Gather team members, schedule your own event, at any time during the month of May, and host your own Walk for Hope.
    • You can also use that same link to join the team of another who is hosting a Walk.
    • If you prefer to walk alone, or not to host a walk, you can still help out! Simply create a page and invite friends, family, co-workers, and members of your community to help you raise funds for Hope Hall’s Walk for Hope.

The link above, or the button below will take you to a page where you can start fundraising as an individual, join a team, or create a team. Simply follow the step-by-step instructions. If you need assistance setting up your page, contact Eboné Creighton at 585-426-5824 ext. 205 or at
