A Community Thrives Fundraiser to Support Sports at Hope Hall
Our History with A Community Thrives
We’re thrilled to participate in A Community Thrives fundraising initiative. This grantmaking and crowdfunding program is supported by the Gannett Foundation. A Community Thrives provides a national platform to get the word out about the amazing work being done at Hope Hall. Our success in raising $6000 will put us on the court to be eligible to receive a share of $2,000,000 in national grants.
In the past, this initiative has been very successful in helping to fund our Career Development and Occupational Studies Program. Last year, it helped raise funds for Senior Scholarships and activities supporting our Senior Class.
This Year’s Campaign
This year, our A Community Thrives campaign targets our Athletic Program, and the impact youth sports has on our students, and the community as a whole.
Hope Hall’s sports program differs from other programs in several ways:
- We have a no-cut policy, meaning any student who wants to play a sport can and will play.
- The students, not the teachers and coaches, choose the intramural sports that are played.
- Hope Hall takes sports beyond the physical skill development and focuses a lot of time on character development. Winning a game is great, but working as a team, making the teams we play feel welcome, and having FUN are far more important.
Why This Fundraiser is So Important
Hope Hall does not receive funding from school districts or government sources, so your gift to A Community Thrives is a slam dunk toward the success of our 2022-2023 athletic season!
This fundraising campaign is completely on-line, and takes place from July 18th at noon ET and runs through August 12th at 9:00 p.m. ET. During this 4-week period, Hope Hall needs to raise $6,000 on-line in order to be eligible for competitive grants of up to $2,000,000.
In addition, Hope Hall will also be eligible for Bonus Grants in different categories.
Please follow us on facebook, instagram and twitter to see updates, stories about the impact our Athletics Program has on our students, and Bonus Challenge information. And please DO consider sharing our posts with your friends and followers. The goal is to raise funds AND awareness, so by helping to spread the word, you’re providing tremendous assistance.
Together we can give students access to a high-quality, no-cuts sports program that helps them lead a healthy lifestyle, have fun, make friends and learn valuable life skills like team-work and perseverance.
Thank you, in advance, for your help!
