Honor an Everyday Hero at Hope Hall’s Hope Heroes Toast for Hope Gala
Honor an Everyday Hero at Hope Hall’s Hope Heroes Toast for Hope Gala

The theme for this year’s Toast for Hope Gala, is Hope Heroes! We will be honoring Dr. Michael Mendoza, the Commissioner of Public Health for Monroe County, with the Robert W. August Inspiring Hope Award.

Dr. Mendoza has been a visible hero in our community, yet each of us knows people in our own lives — friends, family members, neighbors, teachers, health care professionals, first responders and beyond — who are everyday heroes and deserve our heartfelt gratitude as well.

We invite you to pay tribute to those you know who have made a difference in your life by honoring them with an Everyday Hero Tribute.

You might write something like “Uncle Lou, you are my Everyday Hero because you went to work at the hospital every day during the pandemic, in spite of health risks, and always managed to keep your spirits up.” Or, “Our family nominates Mrs. Brand as our Everyday Hero because she is an awesome teacher who’s made our son love learning again.”

Every individual you honor with the tribute will be notified via letter, and will receive a beautiful Everyday Hero Certificate, suitable for framing. In addition, your tribute of 50 words or less will appear on the screen at both the in-person gala and the celebration online. It will also be featured on the Everyday Hero tribute scroll on our website following the event. For a donation of $25 per tribute, you can honor individuals who deserve recognition, and YOU become a HERO to Hope Hall’s students, because all proceeds from the Everyday Hero tribute go directly to underwriting our students’ education and success.

Please note: Once you have made your Everyday Hero Tribute Gift, you will be sent an acknowledgement with a LINK where you can give us the name, email (if available), address and 50 word tribute electronically for each person you are honoring.

If you prefer to mail in your tribute and payment, simply click on the image below to download a pdf. Please note that we have increased the tribute word count to 50 words rather than 40.
